Take time to Invest in yourself

As a leader, you likely spend the majority of your time and energy investing in the growth of others; however, it is crucial that you take time to invest in yourself as well. In-fact, one of the most important decisions you will ever make is taking the time to reflect, seek counsel, and to advance your knowledge and skills so you can lead effectively. It's important to look at your growth and development from a wholistic standpoint. As with physical exercise, if you only work one muscle, you will only

develop strength in that one area and this will create an imbalance that will prevent you from performing with excellence. This is equally true with your approach to developing yourself as a leader. Your journey and plan should be multi-faceted in order to maintain and advance your areas of strength and develop your areas of weakness. It should also address your physical, mental, and emotional needs.  Coaches are a fantastic resource to enable you to decipher what areas you need to develop, how to go about that, and to listen and provide you with tools and guidance to reach your goals.
